As you can tell from the name of this website, I'm Pablo David Laucerica! Here's a brief recap of my life so far:
Although I'm a Chicago-based actor/singer/tiktoker, I was born and raised in Miami. I spent my entire childhood surrounded by music, art and incredibly good food. I also recently graduated from Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music with a bachelor's degree in Voice & Opera Performance as well as a certificate in Musical Theatre Performance.
Sure, at Northwestern I took all those pesky music classes that would stress out your typical music major. However, I also got to perform for/with esteemed musicians, directors, conductors and composers in both the Classical and Musical Theatre field! I feel like I was performing at LEAST once a week in college; whether it be in musicals, operas, plays, choral performances, recitals, or any other wacky thing I'm sure I did.
While I'm usually acting or singing, I also enjoy song-writing, composing, arranging, stage-directing, music directing and video editing. All of the latter activities being helpful for...
My brother convinced me to download Tik Tok back in April of 2020 so he could send me funny videos through the app instead of via text. Next thing you know, I start making musical theatre-centered content and people start following me. Next NEXT thing you know, I start making short jingles about relatable issues and even MORE people start following me. Long story short: people follow me on Tik Tok 'cause I make music and I pretend to be funny!
When I'm not doing any of those OTHER things, I'm usually teaching Reading & Language Arts to elementary schoolers, reading a book (be it a comic book or otherwise), playing video games or potentially re-watching Always Sunny in Philadelphia again.
